You always wanted to visit the USA, take a stroll on Sunset Boulevard or the Magnificent Mile? Do you want to practice English among native speakers? The program Au-pair USA will help you in this.

Au-pair – is cultural exchange between the two countries, created for young people. Its main goal is to study deeper the language and to get to know the cultural peculiarities of the country. Helping host family at home, the participant is able to:

  • spend 12-24 months in USA;
  • improve your English in ethnic environment without any material costs;
  • meet with US culture, traditions and way of life of American families;
  • travel around the country in his spare time;
  • make new friends;
  • learn about the possibilities of admission to USA universities;
  • discover new professional prospects.

Selection of participants Au-pair USA takes place on a competitive basis, the documents must be submitted no later than six months.

Everyone who will qualify and become a member is provided with:

  1. Full Board: accommodation in a separate room or house with a U.S. host family, meals at the expense of the family.
  2. Pocket money.
  3. Paid medical insurance (for the whole term of staying in a country).
  4. Visit paid courses of learning English. Family will pay for travel to the course location
  5. The preparatory four-day courses upon arrival in New York.
  6. Four weeks of paid leave. You will be able to travel to all States of USA .

A plane tickets in both directions are paid by the host family.

Your obligations will include: to assist in the care of children, to maintain order in a living room, children`s room and your room, to prepare simple meals. Maximum working time is 45 hours per week.


In order to become the participant of Au-pair program in USA, you should meet following requirements:

  • au-pair-usaTo have full secondary education.
  • Be in the age of 18 - 26 (as opposed to other programs it doesn`t play any role in this program: are you a student full-time education or part-time, do you have complete higher education or no).
  • To speak English fluently
  • Be healthy, not smoke (or give up smoking for the period of staying).
  • To have possibility to live in USA from 12 to 24 months..

To have experience of working with children. It can be: tutoring, job counselor at school or summer camp, work in the kindergarten, help parents with younger brothers or sisters.

If you have driver1s license that would be a big plus!

If you meet the abovementioned requirements you can submit documents for participation in the competition and, in case of positive answer, to pass an interview with an American family on Skype.


Before heading to the USA, you have to go through the following stages:

  1. Consultation in our office in Kyiv city (or remotely in online mode).
  2. The interview in English.
  3. Registration, filling in a questionnaire, the signing of the contract.
  4. Preparation of documents according to list.
  5. Skype-interview with host party.
  6. Signing of the contract (if the family approves your candidacy).
  7. Arrival in Kiev and an interview at the Consulate (we preliminary agree the date, our representative will meet you and take you to the Consulate).
  8. Upon receipt of a visa - flight to the United States.
  9. Training with American family (four days).
  10. Start of the program.
